What is the VP, Market Development for Property Owners?

As the VP of Market Development for Property Owners, you will drive Archipelago’s go-to-market efforts so that every property owner has Archipelago. This executive role requires a highly credible and passionate individual who naturally builds relationships and creates mutual value through connections. As the leader of a cross-functional team including sales, marketing, account management and product, you must be equally passionate about creating, executing and optimizing disciplined processes so that Archipelago delivers value to every property owner on the platform while operating efficiently and creatively.

The VP, Market Development, Property Owners will lead the cross-functional team in creating strategies and deploying tactics that increase TIV on the platform and improves insurance outcomes for owners. You will work with marketing to create programs that educate and mobilize property owners. You will work with sales to qualify and accelerate opportunities in the pipeline including building productive referral networks. You will be accountable for achieving TIV and logo growth targets among property owners and for achieving CAC targets while growing. This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.

Things you’ll do

  • Create strategies and programs to quadruple TIV on the platform and double the number of property owners using Archipelago

  • Identify and engage influencers and connectors who share Archipelago’s vision
  • Spend 50% of your time in the field with customers and prospects
  • Share opportunities, anecdotes, facts, and insights about the future of risk and resiliency with the product team and clients
  • Develop and execute a natural referral playbook from customers and influencers
  • Fuse powerful, best practice ABM/CDR/Marketing programs with referral networks
  • Methodically manage the growth of the Property Owner segment providing transparency to the leadership team and Board of Directors
  • Align a cross-functional team on outcomes and milestones and then manage the execution of that team
