What is Archipelago?

Competitive insurance is the foundation of the built world. Competitive insurance encourages investment, job growth, and resilience. In the face of an ever more rapidly changing world due to climate change and income inequality, Archipelago is making insurance more accessible to more businesses by transforming how information about properties is captured so that owners, brokers, and insurers can share complete, documented, and accurate primary data about each unique property. With Archipelago, the risk is priced more fairly, portfolios improve their resilience and more capital is confidently unlocked creating a future for everyone. Fusing more than a century of insurance risk modeling with cutting-edge AI and database expertise, Archipelago is the only platform that captures primary source data on properties, ensures the right people manage that information, and securely share it with their broker and insurance partners.

On Archipelago, commercial real estate owners, managers, brokers & insurance carriers efficiently map their portfolios, manage their risks, and underwrite them using a mix of machine learning and human intelligence. Our founders have grown multiple companies through IPOs and acquisitions. We embraced remote work when we were founded in 2018 and welcome people to come to our San Francisco headquarters or New York offices. Archipelago is backed by Canaan, Ignition Partners, Zigg Capital and Scale Venture Partners.
